It is now a very popular tourist attraction with a cafe, hotel, post office, meeting facilities and a museum. The light was automated in 1968 and is still in use today. Landsort was built in 1687 and was granted historic monument status in 1935. There is overnight accommodation for visitors and a lighthouse cafe. The light was automated in 1963 and is still in use. Tankar was built in 1889 and pilots still operate from here. During the summer months the lighthouse is a popular tourist destination. The former lighthouse buildings are used as holiday cottages and there is a guest harbour for visitors. Strömmingsbådan was built in 1885. The Association for Strömmingsbådan Traditions now uses the former lighthouse buildings, it includes the local fishermen, a boat club and the local museum.   © Polish Maritime Museum
