Bengtskär built in 1906, was taken over by the University of
Turku in 1992. It is now a very popular tourist attraction with a
cafe, hotel, post office, meeting facilities and a museum. The light
was automated in 1968 and is still in use today. |
Landsort was built in 1687 and was granted historic monument status
in 1935. There is overnight accommodation for visitors and a lighthouse
cafe. The light was automated in 1963 and is still in use. |
Tankar was built in 1889 and pilots still operate from here. During
the summer months the lighthouse is a popular tourist destination.
The former lighthouse buildings are used as holiday cottages and there
is a guest harbour for visitors. |
Strömmingsbådan was built in 1885. The Association for
Strömmingsbådan Traditions now uses the former lighthouse
buildings, it includes the local fishermen, a boat club and the local
museum. |
